US Ambassador to Armenia Lynne Tracy on Monday met with Sashik Sultanyan, head of the Yezidi Center for Human Rights, the US Embassy in Yerevan informed on Facebook.
“They discussed the criminal case against Sultanyan and the importance of freedom of expression, in particular for ethnic minorities and other vulnerable groups. Ambassador Tracy noted that freedom of expression is the bedrock on which enduring nations are built, and is critical for democracy,” the embassy added.
