The opposition Resistance Movement is carrying out a protest at the side entrance of the National Assembly (NA) of Armenia.
The police have concentrated a large number of forces—including special forces—in that area, formed a human chain, and closed off the road section leading to the aforesaid side entrance.
As reported earlier, ruling majority "Civil Contract" Faction of the NA has called a special session of parliament today—and with the agenda of recalling [opposition MP] Ishkhan Saghatelyan from the position of the NA deputy speaker, and terminating the powers of opposition lawmaker Vahe Hakobyan as Chairman of the Standing Committee on Economic Affairs of the National Assembly.
