As a result of mass riots in Karakalpakstan, 18 people were killed, and 243 people were injured in total, said representative of the Prosecutor General's Office of Uzbekistan Abror Mamatov.
“During the riots that took place in Nukus on July 1 and 2, 18 people were killed, while 243 citizens were injured and injured of varying severity, including 38 law enforcement officers,” Mamatov said live on the Uzbekistan 24 TV channel.
