President Joe Biden has submitted to the Senate the nomination of Kristina Kvien, the former US chargé d’Affaires in Ukraine, as the new US ambassador to Armenia. This was reported by the press service of the White House.
The relevant Senate committee will set a hearing date for Kvien to answer questions from lawmakers.
And some time thereafter, the upper chamber of the US Congress will vote to whether or not confirm her nomination for the post of US ambassador to Armenia.
Lynne Tracy has been serving as the US ambassador to Armenia since February 19, 2019.
