Russia always supports the process of normalization of relations between Armenia and Turkey, which started on January 14 in Moscow—with the mediation of the Russian Federation. Maria Zakharova, the official representative of the Russian foreign ministry, announced this Thursday at her weekly press briefing.

"We [i.e., Russia] are ready to support the Armenian-Turkish dialogue in every way from now on as well. We proceed from the fact that it stems from the interests of the region's stability and economic prosperity," she added.

Also, Zakharova recalled that Russia contributed to the normalization of Yerevan-Ankara relations not solely in 2022.
