Turkey is against delaying the purchase of new F-16 fighter jets from the US, Daily Sabah writes, citing its sources.

"Turkey does not want this issue to be subject to a lengthy procedure. That is why it is negotiating with the Pentagon and demanding that the matter be submitted to the US Congress," the sources said.

Turkey plans to buy 40 new F-16 fighters from the US and upgrade another eighty.
