The temperatures in Armenia will rise by 5-7 degrees Celsius starting from Saturday.
The Ministry of Emergency Situations informs that this is due to the penetration of hot tropical air currents from Iraq.
Accordingly, during the daytime hours between August 15 and 19, the air temperature in Armenia will reach 40 to 42 degrees Celsius in the Ararat Plain, in the foothills of Aragatsotn and Vayots Dzor Provinces, and in the capital Yerevan.
And due to the high thermal background and the absence of precipitation, a high fire hazard is expected in the foothills and valley zones of Armenia on those days.
