Speaking with reporters Monday, Armen Pambukhchyan, the Minister of Emergency Situations of Armenia, dismissed the circulating claims about a possible terrorist attack at the Surmalu shopping center in Yerevan.

"Watching the video of the moment of the explosion, it becomes obvious that there can be no question of terrorism because first there is some burning, smoke formation, and then an explosion. That is, there was a fire inside, it spread to explosive materials, that's why it exploded. It is a 99-percent fact," he said.

A powerful explosion took place at the Surmalu market Sunday, as a result of which there are six casualties.

According to the latest information, 15 people are still being searched for as a result of the explosion.

And the Ministry of Health reported that 21 people injured in this explosion continue to be treated at various hospitals, and they are in moderate condition.
