At the moment, 15 people are considered missing in Sunday’s explosion at the Surmalu shopping market in Yerevan. Hayk Kostanyan, spokesperson of the Ministry of Emergency Situations (MES) of Armenia, told reporters about this on Monday.
"We have pulled out 15 people from the rubble; six of them—dead, nine—injured in various degrees. Now the search and rescue operations are continuing, the search-and-rescue dogs have found a certain track; now work is being done in that regard to see if there are people in that area or not," Kostanyan added.
He emphasized that the current MES forces on location are fully sufficient for both firefighting as well as search and rescue operations.
