Revenues received in July from tourism exceeded the data for 2019 and amounted to 467 million US dollars, which is a record figure, the Prime Minister of Georgia Irakli Garibashvili said at the government session, reports Interpressnews.

According to the head of the government in January-July the income from travels was $1 billion 618 million.

According to Garibashvili similar trends registered in the direction of export and tourism let us say the tendency of high growth in the direction of economic activity will continue.

"In total, in January-July, travel revenues were put at $1 billion 618 million. So, similar trends recorded in the direction of exports and tourism allow us to say that the trend of high growth in the direction of economic activity will continue in July, which is very encouraging for us. Certainly, it implies increasing employment, employing more people, increasing incomes and reducing poverty," said Irakli Garibashvili.
