Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia expressed his condolences for the deaths of people as a result of an explosion in a shopping center in Yerevan. He sent corresponding messages to Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and Catholicos of All Armenians Garegin II.

"It is with great sadness that I received the news of the tragedy that took place in a shopping center in Yerevan. Many people died and suffered as a result of the fire and collapse of the building.

I deeply empathize with the people of the brotherly Armenia and ask you to convey my heartfelt condolences to all those who have been affected by this terrible disaster, especially those who have lost their relatives and loved ones. I would like to assure you that the Russian Orthodox Church represented by the clergy and laity of the Diocese of Yerevan-Armenia is ready to render moral support to all those who need it.

May the Lord be merciful to the souls of the deceased, comfort the bereaved, and grant speedy healing to the afflicted."
