Over 20 people have been interrogated in the proceedings related to the explosion on the territory of Surmalu trade center, the press service of the Investigative Committee of Armenia told NEWS.am.

Razmik Zakaryan, the owner of Surmalu shopping center, was not interrogated.

Let us remind that an explosion occurred on Sunday on the territory of Surmalu business center, which caused more than 60 casualties. 16 people were killed and 3 people are missing as of 5:00 pm. According to the initial version, the cause of the explosion was a fire at a pyrotechnics warehouse located on the territory of the center.

Investigation into the explosion is filed under Part 2 Article 357 and Part 2 Article 358 of the Criminal Code of Armenia.
