Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Rafael Grossi expressed his readiness to lead a delegation to the Zaporozhye NPP, said Ukrainian Foreign Ministry Dmitry Kuleba.
On the eve of Grossi urged the authorities of Ukraine and Russia to allow a mission of experts to visit the nuclear power plant as soon as possible.
President of Ukraine Zelenskyy said earlier that Kyiv maintains constant contact with the IAEA and is ready to let the organization's mission to the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant pass. He stressed that Ukraine is ready to ensure proper control, and the mission can be sent in a short time.
Igor Vishnevetsky, Deputy Head of the Department for Non-Proliferation and Arms Control of the Russian Foreign Ministry, also said that Moscow would do everything possible to facilitate the visit of the IAEA delegation to the Zaporozhye NPP in the very near future.
