Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan made a sudden check of his campaign headquarters and instructed to begin thorough preparations for the upcoming presidential elections, Yeni Şafak reports.

President Erdogan held a surprise pre-election meeting and tested the pulse of his apparatus in the 2023 elections. Erdogan received the views of his headquarters on the content and method of preparing the pre-election cycle.

In the assessments, the creation of new discourses and the adoption of measures in the field of economics and justice came to the fore. It also became obvious that it is necessary to establish some criteria for candidates for deputies, the newspaper reported.

The next general elections in the country - both presidential and parliamentary - are planned in Turkey in June 2023.
