Today in the capital Stepanakert, the secretary of the Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) National Security Council, Vitaly Balasanyan, did not want to answer reporters’' questions, saying: "Today is a holiday [i.e., the 31st anniversary of the independence of Artsakh], I don't answer other questions."

Balasanyan spoke only about the handing over of Berdzor (Lachin) town and Aghavno village to the Azerbaijanis last week. "Have you studied well the [trilateral] statement of November 9 [2020] about the alternative road?" he asked reporters.

Asked how Parukh village and Karaglukh hill also were handed over to Azerbaijan despite not being noted in the November 9 statement, he urged to direct these questions to their press service.

The reporters recalled that Balasanyan had toured Berdzor with Azerbaijani generals, then a photo was circulated, and asked what secret things were discussed. Balasanyan responded: "We have not gone, we are not going, and we will not go to any secret arrangements, secret negotiations. Petition to our press service."
