The ceremony of the presentation of the Global IT Award—the state award of Armenia for global contribution to the IT sector—took place at the residence of the President of Armenia. And President Vahagn Khachturyan presented this award to Leon Stok, the Vice President of IBM's Electronic Design Automation group.
Stok's group offers design and verification flows and tools that are used in designing the world's largest supercomputers, the IBM Z and Power systems, and the IBM Quantum Systems.
And Stok's main contribution is the creation of innovative chips for IBM products.
The Global IT Award consists of a gold medal and a commemorative symbol symbolizing Armenia and high tech.
