Foreign Ministers of Turkey and France Mevlut Cavusoglu and Catherine Colonna discussed the situation in the South Caucasus.

According to Anadolu, during a joint press conference following the bilateral meeting of the two ministers in Ankara, Cavusoglu noted that after Azerbaijan's victory in Karabakh in the South Caucasus, there is an opportunity for permanent peace and stability. He noted the need to support such processes as negotiations on the normalization of relations between Ankara and Yerevan and Baku and Yerevan.

In turn, Colonna noted that Paris welcomes "positive work" in the South Caucasus. A very pleasant and positive environment is being created in the region. The dialogue between Turkey and Armenia is normalizing and expanding, the Turkish agency quoted the French minister as saying.

Noting that there are many areas in which the positions of Paris and Ankara coincide, she said that the parties continue to work on these issues.
