Armenian PM Nikol Pashinyan met Wednesday Russian president Vladimir Putin on the sidelines of the Eastern Economic Forum (EEF).

"We are in a constant contact with you - we have regular meetings and phone conversations on current issues. But nevertheless, at today's personal meeting I think it is important to recall that this year we celebrated 30 years of diplomatic relations and the 25th anniversary of the signing of the fundamental treaty," Russian President Vladimir Putin noted.

"Our relations are developing in all directions. We work in our organizations - both in the economic organization and the CSTO, I mean to ensure security and stability. In the near future, you are also planning to be at SCO events in Uzbekistan, where you will have the opportunity to see each other again and talk to all your colleagues.

Russia retains a confident first place among trade and economic partners of Armenia. The trade turnover is increasing, by some 25-30 percent, in my opinion, recently.

We note that the economic situation in Armenia has stabilized. Much has been done by your Government with regard to that issue.

Certainly, one of the most sensitive issues is the security situation around Nagorno Karabakh. We are in constant contact with you on this issue. I am glad that today in the course of your visit to Russia, at the economic forum in Vladivostok, we had an opportunity to talk about all these issues.

The circle of companies and people that cooperate with us is growing. In the near future, our business operators are going to meet, and a forum of regions should be held. There are other planned events, including in the humanitarian sphere, in culture and education.

I am very glad. Thank you very much for accepting the invitation and coming to the economic forum in Vladivostok," said the President.
