A grandmother and grandson were hospitalized with gunshot wounds in Yerevan, shamshyan.com reported.

The 25-year-old grandson was taken to Erebuni Medical Center and the 89-year-old woman was taken to Shengavit Medical Center. The wounded were hospitalized from an apartment in the capital's Shengavit administrative district.

Law enforcement officials are identifying them and trying to determine the circumstances under which the citizens received the gunshot wounds. The Shengavit police department has initiated criminal proceedings.

According to the newspaper, Arutyun S., 25, and Marus M., 89, were wounded and a Makarov pistol was found in the apartment.
