A loan of 26.5 million euros will be provided to Armenia. Deputy chairman of the State Revenue Committee (SRC), Ashot Muradyan, informed about this during Monday’s parliamentary debates on the ratification of a loan agreement signed between Armenia and the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development (IBRD).

He said these funds will be provided within the framework of the aforesaid agreement, and will be used for the implementation of the fourth program of modernization of the public sector of Armenia.

"Within the framework of this loan agreement, it is planned to digitize the services being provided by some state institutions. In particular, we are talking about the Ministry of Justice, the Police, the SRC, and local governments. Along with digitization, it is planned to also create corresponding mobile applications for users of the above-mentioned services," Muradyan explained.

He added that this EBRD loan will be granted to Armenia with a repayment period of 25 years, of which 14.5 years will be preferential.
