A group of merchants of Petak shopping center of Yerevan were protesting in front of the main building of the government of Armenia Monday morning.

They demand to reopen the street running along their market in both directions, as their business suffers from its being closed in one direction—and due to the fatal explosion on August 14 at the Surmalu shopping market across.

One of the protesters added that their strike continues for the third day already.

Later, two of the demonstrators were let inside the government building.

And after leaving the building, they informed that they had submitted their aforesaid demand in writing to Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.

"They told us that ‘we will respond.’ We believe they will respond today. We are not stopping the strike, now we are going to Petak," they added.
