YEREVAN. – As of 8am Tuesday, the situation at the border with Azerbaijan has not undergone any changes, informs the Republic of Armenia Ministry of Defense (RA MOD).

"The adversary continues to use artillery means, grenade launchers, UAVs, and large-caliber firearms in the directions of Vardenis, Sotk, Artanish, Ishkhanasar, Goris, and Kapan, targeting both military and civilian infrastructure.

Positional battles are also continuing in some parts of the border.

The adversary does not stop the advance attempts.

The situation created as a result of the large-scale aggression carried out by Azerbaijan has been presented to the military attachés of the embassies accredited in the RA, and it has been noted that the military and political leadership of Azerbaijan bears all accountability for what happened and its future developments", the MOD of Armenia added, in particular.

Starting from 12:05am on Tuesday, the units of the Azerbaijani Armed Forces started firing intensively—from artillery and large-caliber firearms—at Armenia’s positions toward Goris, Kapan, Sotk, Jermuk, Artanish, and Ishkhanasar. The adversary is using drones, too. As a result of this large-scale provocation by the Azerbaijani side, an intense shootout has begun. The Armenian Armed Forces are retaliating appropriately. The MOD informs that the Armenian side has casualties and wounded; the respective data are being verified.
