Iran's Foreign Ministry expressed concern over the escalation of tensions on the border between Armenia and Azerbaijan and called for restraint and resolution of disputes peacefully and on the basis of international law.
Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Nasser Kanani noted the inadmissibility for Iran of any change in the borders of Armenia and Azerbaijan.
Highlighting that Iran is closely following developments related to this issue, Kanani stressed the need to respect the territorial integrity of the two countries and Tehran's readiness to provide any assistance to resolve disputes between the two countries, according to a report on the IRI Foreign Ministry's Telegram channel.
