The UN Security Council has received a letter from Armenia's permanent representative asking it to convene an emergency meeting of the Security Council in connection with Azerbaijan's aggression, a source in the Security Council told RIA Novosti.

The Security Council received such a letter from Armenia's mission, the source said.

The letter says that on behalf of the head of the Armenian Foreign Ministry, Armenian Permanent Representative to the UN Mher Margaryan requests to convene an emergency meeting of the UN Security Council in connection with Azerbaijan's large-scale aggression against Armenia, unleashed on September 13, 2022, which poses an imminent threat to international peace and security.
