Relatives of those who died in the 44-day Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) war in the fall of 2020 and the supporters of these relatives are staging a protest in front of the building of the National Assembly (NA) of Armenia, and demanding the MPs to express no confidence in Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.

Riot police have formed a human wall and closed off the street running along the side entrance to NA building.

Later, these demonstrators went the NA reception in order to get permission to enter the parliament building.

These demonstrators had staged a protest outside the NA building on Tuesday, too, and blamed Pashinyan for the latest military aggression of Azerbaijan.

After midnight on Tuesday, the armed forces of Azerbaijan started intensively shelling the Armenian combat positions located near Sotk, Vardenis, Goris, Kapan, Artanish, and Ishkhanasar settlements. Attacks were carried out on civil infrastructure, too. PM Pashinyan stated during Tuesday’s question-and-answer session at the NA that the verified death toll on the Armenian side as a result of these attacks is 49, but this is not a final number. The Armenian government has appealed to Russia, the CSTO, and the UN Security Council regarding this military aggression of Azerbaijan against the sovereign territory of Armenia.
