There is not and cannot be any "corridor" through Armenian territory. No one in the world is discussing this issue with Armenia, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said during the governmental hour at the session of the National Assembly of Armenia on Wednesday, answering the questions of the MPs.

According to the Prime Minister, Armenia is not very interested in the opinion of other countries, especially when it comes to its sovereignty.

"Although Armenia is not the largest and, unfortunately, not the strongest state in the world, nevertheless, when it comes to sovereignty we should not be very interested in the opinion of others. Through the sovereign territory of Armenia, we will give no corridor or territory. Moreover, Armenia has discussed this issue with all of its allies, including the international community, and came to a common understanding. There is not a single country that talks about a corridor. And if such a country were to show up, we would stop such discussions in a heartbeat. After all, we are not discussing any corridor," said the head of the government.

In particular, he reminded that point 9 of the statement of November 9, 2020 was published long ago. Anyone who can read can try to find the phrase "corridor through Armenia" there.

"There is indeed mention of a corridor there. But we are talking about the Lachin corridor, which is under the control of Russian peacekeepers," Pashinyan stressed.

At midnight on September 13, Azerbaijani Armed Forces units began intensive shelling of Armenian positions located in Sotk, Vardenis, Goris, Kapan, Artanish and Ishkhanasar. Strikes are also directed at civilian infrastructure facilities. On the Armenian side there are dead and wounded. The Armenian government has already appealed to Russia, the CSTO and the UN Security Council in connection with the Azerbaijani aggression against the sovereign territory of the republic.
