In accordance with a decision of the CSTO Collective Security Council, a task force of the CSTO Joint Staff headed by Colonel General Anatoly Sidorov arrived in Armenia in the evening of September 15 to conduct a monitoring mission, the Defense Ministry reported NEWS.am.

On the same day Colonel General Anatoli Sidorov was received by Armenian Defense Minister Suren Papikyan. The defense minister presented the situation resulting from the large-scale aggression carried out by Azerbaijan on September 13 and presented the issues related to the upcoming monitoring.

The Minister expressed hope that the group will work efficiently and will present a detailed and accurate report on the operational situation to the Collective Security Council.

In the coming days, the task force will carry out relevant work in the main headquarters of the Armenian Armed Forces and in the areas of military operations.
