U.S. House of Representatives Speaker Nancy Pelosi confirmed reports about her upcoming visit to Armenia, noting that she was unaware that her travel plans had been made public.

During her trip to Berlin, Pelosi declined to give further details about the trip, saying that traveling members of Congress “don’t like to be a target.”

“In any case, it is all about human rights and the respecting the dignity and worth of every person,” she said.

Pelosi added she had long ago received an invitation from the Armenian side.
