After 2016, the amount of trade between Armenia and the other EEU countries has doubled. Dmitry Volvach, Russian Deputy Minister of Economic Development, told about this to a press conference Tuesday.

Moreover, as the Russian official noted, despite the coronavirus pandemic, the number of Armenian citizen students studying at Russian universities has also doubled.

"Economic cooperation between the Republic of Armenia and the Russian Federation is developing—both at the national and regional levels. Moreover, the 83 events provided by the adopted program will be increased to 150-200," Volvach added.

According to the Russian deputy minister of economic development, the aforesaid events will cover not only the economy, but also culture, youth affairs, education, and tourism.
