The deputy director of Le Figaro daily, French journalist Jean-Christophe Buisson made a post on Twitter, reflecting on the information circulating on social media Monday, according to which the US Congress is considering the matter of selling arms to Armenia.
"The United States plans to deliver arms to Armenia to defend itself against the Azeri-Turks who threaten it with a new military aggression. And the EU? And France?" Buisson asked, and noted the hashtags SaveArmenia, StandWithArmenia, and ArmenianLivesMatter.
The Armenian National Committee of America (ANCA) had reported that for the first time since Armenia’s independence in 1991, the US policymakers—under sustained bipartisan Congressional pressure—were considering the sale of American arms to help Armenia's defense against Azerbaijan's—Turkey-backed—aggression and ethnic-cleansing.
