Greece's position on the Nagorno-Karabakh issue is unchanged. It contributes to the peaceful achievement of mutually acceptable solutions within the framework of international law. Greek Foreign Minister Nikos Dendias stated about this in Yerevan Tuesday.

Emphasizing the need to respect international law, Dendias noted the courage of Armenian Prime Minister Pashinyan, who proposed a new approach for the future of the region.

Peace can’t be established under conditions of use of force; it concerns the Caucasus and the whole world, the Greek FM noted.

Dendias stated that the contribution of the US and the EU is significant, and together with other European partners, Greece is ready to help as mediators to continue the negotiations under the auspices of the OSCE Minsk Group.

The Greek FM noted that they cannot change the geography, but people should be able to live peacefully side by side.
