Following today's attack by Azerbaijani forces on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan made a post on his Twitter microblog noting that the Azerbaijani attack must be condemned and stopped.

"As a result of a new Azerbaijani attack 3 Armenian soldiers have been killed today within the territory of Armenia. This is an attack against Armenian independence, sovereignty and democracy. The Azerbaijani invasion must be condemned and stopped. Stand for Armenian Democracy!

Withdrawal of Azerbaijani troops and deployment of an international observer mission on the Armenian territories affected by Azerbaijani
occupation and bordering areas is an absolute necessity," he wrote.

Earlier, the Armenian Defense Ministry reported that starting from
6 p.m. the Azerbaijani forces started firing mortars and large-caliber small arms at the Armenian positions in the eastern direction of the border. The Armenian side resorted to retaliatory actions.

Later, the Ministry of Defense reported that as of 10 p.m. the situation on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border was relatively stable. As a result of the Azerbaijani provocation, three Armenians were killed.
