Donetsk, Lugansk, Kherson, and Zaporizhia regions will become the sovereign territory of Russia, and the treaty on the Union State will apply to them, too. Russian presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov stated about this, RIA Novosti reported.
"It’s clear. They will become an inseparable part and sovereign territory of the Russian Federation," Peskov said when asked whether this means that Donetsk, Lugansk, Kherson and Zaporizhia, like any other region of Russia, will also become part of the Union State.
"There will be an address from the President of the Russian Federation. (…) and then there will be the ceremony of signing the documents. (…). Four agreements will be signed on the acceptance of new entities into the Russian Federation," Peskov told reporters.
