Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan says a part of the participants of the famous meeting between the former presidents of Armenia and Artsakh and the Catholicos of All Armenians, is fully aware of the negotiation process, while the other half has always had the opportunity to be kept informed. His remarks came during his interview to the Public Television of Armenia today, responding to the question whether he is ready to meet the former presidents and present the details of the negotiations.

Pashinyan described as a misunderstanding the viewpoint that only a narrow circle of people are aware of the negotiation process.

"A fairly wide range of people are aware of the negotiation process, even at the letter level. The parliamentary faction of the Civic Agreement Party is fully aware, as is the Security Council. I will say more, the Nagorno-Karabakh authorities are fully aware of everything. The President of Nagorno-Karabakh is aware of every phrase I uttered and sentence I heard during the talks. I know that he, in his turn, informs at least the Council of Ministers and former high ranking officials," the head of the Armenian Cabinet of Ministers said.

According to him, a part of the participants of the well-known meeting of former presidents of Armenia and Artsakh and the Catholicos of All Armenians is fully aware of the negotiation process, while the other half has always been able to keep abreast of the events. "At least two of the mentioned persons, I am sure, are aware of everything. I have always expressed readiness, in particular, to present to the parliamentary opposition the negotiations in their entirety. Robert Kocharyan and Serzh Sargsyan are, in fact, the leaders of the two factions and have actually refused to receive this information. Levon Ter-Petrosyan's force also refused. At one time, the ANC was also invited to participate in meetings with non-parliamentary forces, but they refused," Pashinyan stressed.

Quite a wide range of expert community is periodically informed about the discussions, the head of the government said. According to him, if all the details of the issues are presented to such a wide circle, it means that he is ready to present them to the people directly and openly, but he doesn't do that because the diplomatic ethics don't allow presenting details in closed format.

"The authorities, the government and I are ready to take responsibility. We have not and will not avoid responsibility. If there are political forces who would like to contribute to the establishment of long-term peace around Armenia, they can do it, the information for these forces is not closed, it is closed in terms of format. If there is such a context that the authorities cannot take responsibility and they should be helped, I can say that the authorities and I personally are aware of the responsibility for the fate of the country, and we are ready to take that responsibility. And we took it from our people," the Armenian Prime Minister concluded.
