The Russian State Duma at an extraordinary meeting unanimously approved the constitutional laws on the admission to Russia of the self-proclaimed Donetsk and Luhansk people's republics and Zaporizhzhia and Kherson regions as federal subjects, RIA Novosti reported.

The documents were submitted by Vladimir Putin the day before.

The president and the heads of the four regions signed international treaties on the acceptance of the DPR, LPR, and Kherson and Zaporizhzhia regions into Russia on September 30 in the Kremlin.
