YEREVAN. – Prosecutor General Anna Vardapetyan on Tuesday received a delegation led by US Ambassador to Armenia Lynne Tracy, the Prosecutor General’s Office informs Armenian News-NEWS.am.

The ambassador emphasized that the US government intends to expand cooperation with the Prosecutor General’s Office of Armenia.

Vardapetyan, for her part, noted that she is ready to develop the cooperation agenda with the partners of Armenia that are supporting the democratic processes taking place in the country.

At the request of the US envoy, the Prosecutor General of Armenia presented the priorities of the Prosecutor General’s Office.

And reflecting on the current situation as a result of the recent large-scale military aggression of Azerbaijan against the sovereign territory of Armenia, Vardapetyan lauded the targeted statements of the US, and reaffirmed Armenia's respective position that the Azerbaijani military should be immediately withdrawn from the sovereign territory of Armenia, the Armenian prisoners of war should be returned, and the ceasefire must be maintained.

During the meeting, Prosecutor General Vardapetyan and Ambassador Tracy discussed as well several other matters on the agenda.
