The Amanat Party (formerly Nur Otan) has nominated Kassym-Jomart Tokayev as a presidential candidate, Tengrinews.kz reports.

"Today we started building a successful republic together. It is important that we already have a leader, with whom we will implement all our plans and do not turn from the chosen path.

The leader, who in the most difficult period for our people took all the responsibility, preserved the statehood, not allowing the country to plunge into chaos. Therefore, the task of the Amanat Party today and our historic responsibility is to unite all the people of Kazakhstan around the progressive reforms of the President.

I propose the candidacy of our President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev. The Congress delegates, I think, will unanimously support me," said the Speaker of the Majilis of the Parliament - Chairman of Amanat Party Yerlan Koshanov at the XXIV Extraordinary Congress of Amanat Party.

Delegates of the congress unanimously supported the candidacy of Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.
