North Korea on Thursday launched two ballistic missiles toward the Sea of Japan, Japanese Coast Guard reported.

The missiles were launched 15 minutes apart. According to the Coast Guard, both fell into the sea. Fishing boats in the area were warned not to approach the wreckage if it was detected.

NHK television reported, citing government sources, that the crash area was outside Japan's exclusive economic zone.
