The barbarities and numerous violations of human rights committed by Azerbaijan are facts that should be put on the negotiating table. The Human Rights Defender of Armenia, Kristinne Grigoryan, told this to a press conference Friday.

"I don't think that we should talk about the war and not say that we don't want to make efforts for peace," she said.

Grigoryan assured that during her talks with the residents of the border settlements of Armenia, people first of all state that they want peace that will guarantee their security.

"We should not fall into another extreme, saying that if we have such a situation, then we should arm ourselves and attack; this is the most destructive thought. We must make efforts to achieve peace. It is necessary to constantly work in this regard," said the ombudswoman of Armenia.
