Experts were able to obtain this prediction thanks to a mathematical model. They calculated the rate of rise of the water level in the ocean and the melting of glaciers. According to scientists, today the rise in sea level and the melting of glaciers is 20 times faster than it was previously predicted by other experts.

Researchers reported that New York, New Orleans and Miami are in danger of total inundation. And they are likely to be flooded by the end of the century.
