Armenia shall have a professional army. This was announced by Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan at Thursday’s Cabinet meeting of the government—and referring to the draft law by which contract servicemen in the country can undergo voluntary certification and have a double salary increase.

"Moreover, the serviceman of our professional army shall not have a housing problem. The officer corps who will complete the military training university will immediately receive housing from the state. A serviceman shall not have a food problem, shall not have the problem of ensuring the health needs of family members, and shall not have the problem of organizing children's education," the PM emphasized.

Pashinyan stated that the aforesaid draft law is an integral part of the transition to a professional army in Armenia.
