Representatives of the ruling Taliban movement in Afghanistan waged a battle against Iranian border guards, 8am.media reported.

The incident took place on the Abrisham Bridge, near the Afghan city of Zaranj in Nimruz Province.

According to eyewitnesses, the Iranians opened fire on two trucks that were carrying contraband fuel and had not responded to the Iranian border guards’ demand to stop.

The first truck managed to get away, but the Iranians forced the second one to stop, after which they beat the driver.

And in response to this incident, the Taliban opened fire on the Iranian border guards, and the shootout lasted for more than an hour. Then the parties started negotiations, reported the Telegram channel of Sputnik Afghanistan.
