Syria condemns in the strongest terms the cowardly terrorist attack on the Shah Cheragh shrine in the Iranian city of Shiraz. The ATS Foreign Ministry said the attack shows that terrorism has become one of the main tools of the U.S. policy of destabilizing countries.

 "Syria condemns in the strongest possible terms the despicable terrorist act in the Iranian city of Shiraz, for which ISIS has claimed responsibility. This terrorist attack shows once again that terrorism has become one of the main tools of the U.S. policy to destabilize countries and undermine peace in them in order to subjugate them to the U.S.

Syria reaffirmed solidarity and full support of Iran in the fight against this cowardly terrorist attack and conspiracy against IRI, and expressed its sincere condolences to the Iranian leadership and the families of the victims, wishing a speedy recovery to the victims," the Foreign Ministry said in a statement quoted by the Syrian state news agency SANA.

Anarmed man opened fire at the temple of Ahmad bin Musa al-Qasem (Shah Cherag) in the Iranian city of Shiraz, killing at least 15 people, including women and children, and wounding 27 others.
