Iran's security services on Monday arrested six suspects in an armed attack on the Shah Cherah mausoleum in the city of Shiraz, the Islamic Republic's Ministry of Information said in a statement.

"In a complex operation ... a second participant in the armed attack, as well as six other suspects in the terrorist attack on the shrine (Shah Cherah in Shiraz) were identified and arrested," the Tasnim news agency quoted the ministry as saying.

On Wednesday evening, October 26, Iranian media reported that three unidentified men opened fire at the Shah Cheragh Mausoleum in the southern Iranian city of Shiraz.

The Tasnim Agency reported that only one attacker acted, but Iran's state television channel noted that there was also a second terrorist who was not far from the mausoleum. As a result of the terrorist attack, according to the media, 13 people were killed and 45 others were wounded.
