The combined wealth of Russia's richest billionaires has decreased by $83.4 billion since the beginning of 2022, RIA Novosti has calculated based on data from the Bloomberg Billionaires Index (BBI) ranking.

Viktor Vekselberg, the chairman of the board of directors of the investment company Renova, lost the largest amount of money, $11.2 billion. His fortune dropped to $7.32 billion.

Vladimir Potanin, one of the major owners of the Russian mining and metallurgical company Norilsk Nickel, is the richest of those who have lost part of their capital. He has lost $1.08 billion since the beginning of 2022. Potanin now owns $29.8 billion.

The wealth of co-owner of the oil and gas company Novatek Leonid Mikhelson, who is still in second place in the ranking, has noticeably decreased. He became $8 billion poorer and now owns $27.4 billion. In third place is the CEO of steel and mining company Severstal, Alexei Mordashov, whose condition has decreased by $7.78 billion, to $21.1 billion.
