CSTO Secretary General Stanislav Zas said he discussed with Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko in Minsk on Tuesday the organization's possible steps to stabilize the situation on the Azerbaijani-Armenian border, RIA Novosti reported.

"The conversation concerned first of all the situation in the CSTO zone of responsibility. I informed the head of state in more detail about the results of the CSTO mission, which worked in Armenia on behalf of the Collective Security Council. At the last summit of the Heads of State, which was held online last week, proposals on the results of the mission were discussed. The discussion is not over; these proposals are now being finalized. This topic will be discussed, including at the upcoming Collective Security Council (expected in November - ed.)," Zas told reporters after the meeting with Lukashenko.

According to him, much attention was paid to the situation on the border between Armenia and Azerbaijan and possible steps of the CSTO to stabilize the situation and achieve peace agreements.
