Foreign direct investments in Armenia last year totaled 129.2bln drams. About 1/3 out of that sum came from Eurasian Economic Union member states - 40,1bln AMD, said Armenian Minister of Economy Vahan Kerobyan on Thursday.

According to the minister, the inflow of foreign investments into Armenia's real sector of economy in 2021 totaled AMD 204.8bln. Of these, the volume from the Eurasian Economic Union member states amounted to about AMD 32.4 billion.

"In the first half of 2022, the volume of foreign investments in Armenia's economy amounted to AMD 41 billion. At that, the volume of investments from the EAEU countries amounted to 47bln drams. That is, the inflow from the countries outside EEU was negative," explained the Economy Minister.

The volume of foreign direct investments amounted to about AMD 76.5 billion during the same period. Of which AMD 57.5 billion came from the EEU countries.
