It is well known that the process is without preconditions, but, at the same time, the Turkish side constantly links it with the normalization of Armenia’s relations with Azerbaijan, which, in a way, resembles a precondition itself. The minister of foreign affairs of Armenia said this Thursday in the National Assembly—and referring to the process of normalization of Armenia-Turkey relations.
"But parallel to that, very specific discussions are going on—including at the level of special representatives," Ararat Mirzoyan added.
He noted that it is about several specific steps, including the opening of the Armenia-Turkey border for persons with diplomatic passports, citizens of third countries, etc.
"I can say that there is progress, the conversation continues, I expect and hope that there will be positive results in the near future," said Armenian FM.
