A drone carrying explosives attacked an oil tanker off the coast of Oman, the Associated Press reported, citing a defense official.

The official identified the vessel as the Liberian-flagged Pacific Zircon tanker, which is operated by Singapore-based Eastern Pacific Shipping, which is ultimately owned by Israeli billionaire Idan Ofer.

An official told the Associated Press Wednesday that an oil tanker linked to an Israeli billionaire was struck by a drone with explosives off the coast of Oman, the agency reported.
