Armenia will get 100 million euros in loans and the same amount in dollars, the press service of the Ministry of Finance informed NEWS.am.

On Thursday, the Armenian Ministry of Finance signed a loan agreement between the Republic of Armenia and the French Development Agency (100 million euros) and the loan agreement between the Republic of Armenia and the Asian Development Bank (ADB) totaling $ 100 million under the joint program for budgetary assistance based on the "Program for Fiscal Stability and Development of Financial Markets."

The agreements were signed on behalf of the Republic of Armenia by Minister of Finance Tigran Khachatryan and on behalf of the French Development Agency by Director of Eastern Europe, Near East and Asia Cyril Bellet and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the French Republic to the Republic of Armenia Anne Louyot. The agreement was signed on behalf of the Asian Development Bank by the deputy director of ADB Armenian office, Huiping Huang.

The main objectives of the budget financing are:

Strengthening the efficiency of public finance management and the development of money and capital markets;

Developing a strategic framework for the transition to a green economy and introducing tools to facilitate public and private financing for subsequent climate change mitigation and adaptation.
